Annual Christmas Party |
1:00-3:30 pm, Olivet Church Kingdom Center |
For the past several years, the Community Kitchen has foregone a staff party in order to celebrate Christmas with the people we serve. Staff members bring homemade deserts and celebratory foods to share with clients. Christmas cards are available, and staff members and volunteers help the clients write, address and mail them. In some cases, these cards are the only communication clients have with their family members for the entire year. The celebration has become so popular that it has outgrown the Community Kitchen dining room; this year’s party will be held just steps away at the Olivet Church Kingdom Center. Volunteers and postage stamps are needed. |
